For the 2024 holiday season, Kris Kuksi has released the third Considerably Petite limited edition ornament. Like all Kuksi’s assemblages, A Considerably Petite Holiday Ornament 3 carries the familiarity of history, with elements collected from discordant dreamscapes. The central figure, is captivating with her charm, beauty, and elegance. As always each piece is hand crafted and painted by Kuksi individually. Every one is beautifully unique in her own way and no two are alike.
Differing from the first two opinionated gentlemen, the 2024 ornament is a heaven sent graceful angel armored delicately and dangerously. A Considerably Petite Ornament 3 is wearing a Roman helmet and armed with various weaponry at her side, ranging from long swords and daggers to modern weapons of warfare. Clothed with graceful fabric with fleurs and armaments, she glides as if ascending upon Considerably Petite 1 and 2, her horn at the ready and a force to be reckoned with. Is she bringing the good news this season, admonishing her predecessors, or all of the above? To a degree, she harkens back to ancient Roman iconography of “winged victories.” Victoria (or Nike) the goddess of victory. This 2024 holiday ornament pairs perfectly with the first two editions from 2020 and 2021 making a triptych of opinions and disagreements and span centuries of time and countries from Roman, Napoleonic, German, Yemen, and modern day cultures. As a complete trio or by herself, Kuksi brings balance and delight to the holiday season.
A Considerably Petite Holiday Ornament 3 features hand-painted embellishments and measures 6 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches and is from a limited edition of 50. Each ornament is $275, plus an additional shipping and handling fee of $35 for domestic and $100 for international orders. A Certificate of Authenticity, hand signed and numbered by the artist and a ribbon to display the ornament on a tree, is also included.
